So he doubled my lasix and I have been cathed since monday. Let's say 60 hours now and I have got off 10 liters of fluid. When do I know if I get to much off at one time? I am already feeling so tired and week. The swelling has gone done and I can now move my hands and feet.

How much fluid limit has the Doctor put you on? Watch your skin and notice how dry it is becoming and you will know when you are getting to your limit of lasix. You can also go by the color of urine..Gold dehydrated, yellow to clear is normal urine.

Hi Katherine, sounds like it is time to change your diet. Try something new and different, you might be surprised you might enjoy what is available now in the stores. I enjoy soups and have figured out how easy it is to make them myself without all that SALT! Good Luck!

How much liquid can you have a day? What color is your urine? How does your skin look? Wrinkled? Dry? How about your mouth? Are you elevating your Feet? Those will remove the fluid faster. No salt! Check what you eat for salt! No pizza. Hamburgers. Fast food. All have high salt! Good Luck

You would benefit from a visit to a Renal MD to help control your kidney function. Judy

Lasix will take the fluid off but it is hard on the kidneys and if it dehydrated you the swelling comes back in problem areas. I have fine tuned my lasix use myself and so far so goo
