Members agreed that managing pulmonary hypertension after a catheterization requires coordination between both lung and heart doctors, with most emphasizing that a pulmonologist typically oversees PH care while working closely with a cardiologist. Several members highlighted the importance of finding doctors who actively communicate with each other, sharing personal experiences of specialists who text or consult together before making treatment decisions. A recurring theme was that managing complex conditions like PH, COPD, and heart failure often requires a team of multiple specialists working in partnership rather than relying on just one doctor alone.

It has been 12 years since my diagnosis, I have a Cardiologist, Renal, Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary Doctor that has followed me through this health nightmare. They are the reason I am still alive. I know I am Blessed because when I go to see any one of them and a question comes up they pull out their phone and text one of the others about my plan of Care before a decision is jointly made. You need more than 1 Doctor to manage your health as you get older.
