Why, if I could ask? I thot I took that was younger. Not sure now..looked up. Anyway, these meds help you with symptoms now and help prevent or slow down further damage. In 2005, I was going to have open heart, and the cardiologist fixed up my meds, and I felt FINE with just the meds. Course, I still had to have the surgery...also to help prevent further damage. That is 3/4 of the game...prevention. Hugs. Sorry about your uncle. :(
